The Glenlivet Twist & Mix New Manhattan Cocktail, Speyside, Scotland
The Cocktail is hidden in the cap
In the 1820s, Speyside Scotland was overflowing with good Whisky pouring from its several illicit distilleries. In 1824, after a change in legislation, one brave man decided to make his Whisky legal. It turned out that facing the law wasn’t a problem, but facing his fellow distilling countrymen was - many swore that he wouldn’t live to see another day if he tried messing with the way things were, but George Smith of The Glenlivet would simply take a pair of flintlock pistols, dared anyone to try and challenge him, and went to make his distillery legal. He did live to see another day - in fact, more than one. He died in 1871 when he left his distillery to his son who ensured his father's legacy would live on - forever.
After conquering the world of Single Malts, The Glenlivet went looking for a new challenge and found one in making premium pre-made Cocktails. The crafty men and women at the distillery found a brilliant way of mixing a pre-made Cocktail at home, inventing Twist and Mix high technology that involves twisting the cap to release the cocktail flavorings into the delicious base that is The Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The Glenlivet Twist & Mix Old Fashioned Cocktail is a silky smooth deliciousness with an ABV of 40%. The flavors of orange, cinnamon, and nutmeg are the perfect addition to the floral and fruity notes of The Glenlivet Single Malt, making this one of the best Old Fashioned cocktails in our book.
