Calumet Farm is in no rush to go anywhere and is used to a steady pace of development, evident in the rich history and the hardworking individuals behind it. One of the individuals was William Monroe Wright, who established the Calumet Farm in 1924. Later on, it was taken over in 1933 by his son Warren, who was very into horses. So much so that he decided to make the Farm a horse-breeding mecca, which would later bring many awards and trophies for Calumet’s fine breed of horses. Fast forward to today, the Farm still boasts superb horse breeds and produces admirable Whiskey on top of that!
Calumet Farm 10 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey reins in the essence of a proper Kentucky Spirit. This equine American Whiskey has an impressive mash bill of 74% Corn, 18% Rye and 8% Malted Barley. It is non-chill filtered and flaunts traditional Bourbon flavors with a deep nose and finish. Clocking in at 100 proof, this frisky Spirit was named after the famous thoroughbred horse, Bull Lea. Bottoms up and viva la stallions and mares!
