Bastille 1789 Single Malt Whisky, France
The deliciousness of liberty, equality, and brotherhood.
The Dacourt family from the heart of the famous Charente Spirits Valley, France, have been booze-lovers, life-celebrators, and premium spirit-creators for four generations now, producing some excellent booze to share their passion with us, the humble spirit-enjoyers. After mastering the art of Cognac production, delivering premium Vodka and a fine Fusion Liqueur, they found a new challenge - a French Whiskey. Inspired by their French mother, Jean-Marc and Edouard Daucourt set out to make a premium French Whiskey using the family distillery's traditional gooseneck pot stills and their vast knowledge of the subject. And so, Bastille 1789 was born.
Bastille 1789 Single Malt is one premium Whisky. Nothing but the best is good enough for this Spirit that is made solely from the highest quality malted barley from the North of France, where also some of the world’s finest Scotch producers source their malt. Using the purest naturally-filtered waters of Charente springs, it is distilled twice in Charente copper stills and finally aged in small batches of the most luxurious Limousin oak barrels, traditionally used for making Cognac. These barrels had previously held Sauternes, Red Burgundy, and Sherry, bringing their unique characters into this spectacular Single Malt. Winner of several awards, this subtly sweet and peaty French Whisky is a great find.
