The Arbikie Highland Estate is a family-owned and operated farm on the east coast of Angus in Scotland (Yes, the one where Angus cattle come from.) There, the Stiling family lives by the words “Crop is the king”. Farming has been in the Stirling family since 1660 and they’ve been doing it at the Arbikie estate for 4 generations. That’s a lot of precious knowledge passing down from generation to generation.
Today, brothers John, Iain and David are extending the family farming tradition as they took the next logical step: they began producing premium Spirits. Their range of field-to-bottle Vodka, Gin, and Whiskey takes advantage of the unique environment in Lunan Bay: the red sandstone-tinted soil, the sea and the dramatic, turbulent weather. All the ingredients come from the estate and their single-estate distillery is located in an ancient barn, overlooking the bay.
Nàdar Gin is the world’s first climate positive Gin. Nàdar means nature in Gaelic and this limited-edition revolutionary Spirit has a carbon footprint of -1.54 kg CO2e per 700ml bottle. This means it actually actively helps fight climate change and biodiversity loss. And unlike most other Gins, it’s not made from potatoes or corn, but rather - peas! Obviously, we wouldn’t be into it if it wasn’t delicious, too, and this one really ticks all the boxes. It releases a silky smooth and refreshing palate, packed with citrus leaf and lemongrass, that makes your nature-saving G&T go down dangerously fast.
