2012 Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque - Fleur de Champagne Millesime Brut, Champagne, France
2012 Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque - Fleur de Champagne Millesime Brut, Champagne, France
Once upon a time in France, there was a cork supplier from a family of winegrowers who fell in love with the daughter of a respected Calvados producer. In 1811, the couple married and the famous House of Perrier-Jouët was born in the vineyards in the Côte des Blancs.
The House was the first to launch the “Brut” Champagne style and they’ve never cared about producing high volumes of their high-end bubbly – there were years where they even decided not to release a single bottle due to poor harvests. Everything they put out is top-notch stuff, naturally, but their finest luxury cuvée is considered to be the Belle Epoque line.
The year 2012 was an excellent year for grapes. Coming in an elegant flower bottle that was originally designed by Emile Gallé in 1902, this Belle Epoque 2012 vintage is a rare and elegant Champagne that showcases the exeptional harmony that can only be produced in the Perrier-Jouët vineyard.
