Chivas Regal Mizunara Blended Scotch Whisky, Scotland
Chivas Regal Mizunara Blended Scotch Whisky, Scotland
Konnichiwa and Oy! MacNippon Whisky here to blow your mind!
Scottish and Japanese Whisky are like Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor. First, there was only one, but when the second came, she learned everything from the first one. So there were two. It's like Highlander, but in reverse. Anyway, Chivas Regal, a powerhouse of Scotch Whisky from Speyside with its roots back in 1801, decided to pay homage to Japanese Whisky makers and drinkers. Japanese Whisky came around when a Nippon dude went to Scotland and learned the craft, while Chivas Regal's Mizunara is a result of a trip that Master Distiller Colin Scott took to Japan. And it's a helluva of a result:
It's a wonderful blend of malt and grain Whiskies, some of which have spent some time in Mizunara oak! If you couldn't care less about trees: Mizunara oak is insanely rare and its impact on Whisky makes some people scream in excitement. So not only will you celebrate the amazing creation that is Japan, but also try an absolutely extravagant Whisky blend. It's delicious, delightful and it's simply something a Whisky-lover must have. Imitation may be the highest form of flattery, but sometimes the master must flatter the student.
