Cenote Tequila Blanco, Mexico
Cenote Tequila Blanco, Mexico
A Blanco that will bewitch your senses.
Born and raised in a small town close to the Gulf of Mexico, Arturo Fuentes is the brains behind the exquisite Cenote Tequila operation. A chemical engineer by education and a Master Distiller by profession, he claims that Tequila is his life, but he had other Spirit loves before it as well. Fuentes mastered the art of making cognac and Champagne in France, Rum in Mexico, and Tequila in Jalisco. His abundant experience has led to excellent distilling of different types of Tequila, including Reposado, Añejo, Cristalino, Green Orange and Blanco. The word ‘cenote’ describes large land openings of beautiful underground water from the collapse of limestone bedrock. According to the Mayans, these natural swimming pools were believed to be portals to the other world—a world packed with mighty gods and goddesses, including Chaac, the god of rainfall.
Along came Cenote Blanco Tequila—a Spirit loaded with bright citrus and peppery notes on the nose. Your sip is then gracefully rewarded with rich aromas of cooked agave and subtle wood. And no wonder, since it’s been chillin’ in American Oak barrels for three weeks, resulting in a round and balanced Blanco with beautifully combined flavors and welcoming warmth. Clocking in at 40% ABV, this Spirit had its water source from a pristine clean deep well and was then twice distilled and filtered with silver ion filtration.
